The official X or Twitter account @Xiaomi uploaded the official HyperOS logo which is quite interesting. The logo is a collection of geometric dots that look like a star with the text 'Xiaomi HyperOS' at the bottom.

However, this announcement is in line with the plans of Xiaomi founder Lei Jun, who said that Xiaomi HyperOS will be available in 2024 along with Android 14, which means not long ago.

Some time ago Xiaomi announced a list of new devices that would get the HyperOS update. Previously, Xiaomi revealed that around eight devices would get HyperOS globally.

Now, Xiaomi announced that the second wave of this update will reach 80 other devices. Thus, the total number of cellphones and tablets that will get HyperOS is 88 devices.

The latest wave consists of both Xiaomi and Redmi units, including popular models such as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, Redmi K50 Gaming and Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro. This update is expected to be carried out between January and June 2024.

For now, the upgrade plan will be specifically intended for the Chinese market. However, Xiaomi has announced plans to roll out HyperOS globally starting in Q1 2024.

HyperOS itself will not be a special mobile operating system but rather an ecosystem for all Xiaomi IoT products, from household and smart home devices to electric cars made by Xiaomi.

On Weibo social media, Lei Jun revealed that Xiaomi HyperOS itself had been in the works since 2014 when the IoT ecosystem was starting to become popular. This operating system is then prepared to be available on many IoT devices and applications.
