Assassin's Creed Valhalla – When a Viking Becomes an Assassin

Assassin's Creed Valhalla – Ubisoft is a publisher and developer that has several game franchises that are released regularly. One of them is Assassin's Creed. This series is definitely released by Ubisoft every few years. And the last series released by Ubisoft is Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Looking back, the Assassin's Creed series is arguably the series that replaced the Prince of Persia series which was in demand in the 2000s. However, the last series that was released in 2008 did not get good interest from gamers, Ubisoft stopped the series, and finally the Assassin's Creed series was born.

Unlike the Prince of Persia series, Ubisoft is still not afraid to continue this one franchise even though several previous series have been considered failed. After the failure of Assassin's Creed Syndicate, this series finally got its attention again after the release of Assassin's Creed Origin and Odyssey. The two series are the answer to many things that are lacking in the Syndicate series.

Ubisoft has never lost an idea for the Assassin's Creed series, one of which was for the last series that took the Viking theme. However, what is the difference presented by Valhalla with the previous series? On this occasion, we from Laptopnesia will discuss this latest Assassin's Creed game for those of you who are curious about Assassin's Creed Valhalla. For those of you who are curious, follow this article to the end.

The Colossal Story and Betrayal Between Two Friends (Adopted Brother)

Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes place in the year 873 when the Vikings wandered and found a new area which is now England. Here you will play a man from the Vikings named Eivor. There's a bit of Valhalla's storyline that reminds us of the second Assassin's Creed, which is the part where two ages are divided.

In this game, there are ancient times where the life of a Viking knight named Eivor and also a person who lives in the modern world named Layla Hassan who is researching electromagnetic waves on earth that have the potential to cause major disasters. For that, Layla must trace the footsteps of Eivor who became the solution to the disaster.

Eivor is the adopted son of Styrbjorn who is the king of Norway. The king also had a biological son named Sigurd. However, Sigurd rebelled against his father for his decision to conciliate with the new king.

Therefore, Sigurd invites Eivor to form his own kingdom somewhere. In his journey in forming a new kingdom, it was not as smooth as imagined. Eivor has to come into conflict with the surrounding kingdoms. On this journey he also has to fight against the Order of the Ancients which is a Templar organization that wants to rule.

Eivor: It can be both a boy and a girl

In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you can choose the gender of the main character, whether he is a boy or a girl. This feature sets it apart from the Assassin's Creed Odyssey series where the male and female characters are two different characters that you can choose from. There is no difference between male or female Eivor in terms of ability. Both have the same ability and both become a leader or king in a kingdom.

The Vikings were known as a warlike nation. However, in this game, as with the basic theme, some of you are very difficult to imagine if a Viking who likes to fight directly is now an assassin who kills his enemies in silence.

Since the Odyssey series, RPG elements have been built in Assassin's Creed. Likewise in Valhalla. In the latest Assassin's Creed series this can make the game more immersive. As with RPG games in general, there are upgrade features in it, this latest Assassin's Creed series presents crafting features that are quite exciting. Not only that, in this game you can find other activities when you are tired of carrying out missions. In Valhalla, you can do activities such as fishing, hunting, drinking from a tumbler-shaped glass, playing Orlog dice, and others.

Conclusion: Is Assassin's Creed Valhalla Worth Buying?

The success brought by Origin and Odyssey can be brought nicely by Valhalla by providing new features and elements. However, the Assassin's elements in this game are not as thick as their predecessors. I don't know if this game has a Viking theme or not. Even so, this game for us is still very fun when played.
