Natsume tries to bring back past memories with the latest Harvest Moon PC series, Light of Hope. This game was released on November 17, 2017 and published by Natsume himself.
For those who live in the 90s or 2000s, who doesn't know Harvest Moon? A farming game that is fun to play to pass the time.
In the first Harvest Moon you will play as a young man who inherited agriculture and ranch by his late grandfather in a small town called Mineral Town. You are required to return the farms and farms that were bequeathed to you.\
Basically, even though this game has many fans, Harvest Moon has repetitive gameplay. In this game all you have to do is brush the livestock, grow crops, and at least talk to the people around you.

The graphics are also a combination of 2D characters with a 3D environment. Natsume tries to restore past memories of his fans by making Harvest Moon PC with the title Light of Hope. However, will Natsume be able to restore his past glory?

This game feels like a flash game whose capacity is only tens of MB. The decision mechanism in this game is also a bit stiff in our opinion.
If you are looking for a Harvest Moon PC game, maybe you can play games like Stardew Valley or download your PS1 or PS2 emulator to play the old Harvest Moon series.
Harvest Moon Light of Hope PC Graphics
How about the graphics? If Harvest Moon Back to Nature has a 2D character display and 3D environment, Save the Homeland has cel shading style graphics, and A Wonderful Life has a full 3D style, Light of Hope is a little unique. The graphics that appear in this game have a 3D style on the characters and 2D on the environment.
But if you look at this game for PC and next-gen consoles, it looks like Harvest Moon Light of Hope is not a serious game.
We're a bit disappointed with Natsume by releasing this game. As we mentioned earlier, this game looks like a flash game or Android game (even Android games have been made seriously and have graphics that are almost on par with consoles).

There are so many shortcomings that this Harvest Moon PC has, and we assume that Natsume is not too serious about making this game.
Whereas in 2016, a game developer studio called Marvelous released a game similar to Harvest Moon called Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. The game has good graphics and cool gameplay mechanics.
One more criticism for Natsume for this Harvest Moon PC game, namely the backsong which seems to be random.
